Meet the owners

Rich & Tina Sumampow

The Blind Biz, LLC is a Michigan-based business, family owned by Rich Sumampow. Since starting in 2002, The Blind Biz has doubled in size almost every year. Rich handles every aspect of the business, from the initial call to the installation and beyond.

Rich grew up in Gaylord, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State with a degree in advertising. After working for the family blind business, he learned everything about window treatments and has grown The Blind Biz into one of the most referred window treatment businesses in Metro Detroit.

In July 2011 he married the love of his life, Tina. Together they enjoy life and have fun with their three kids.

The Blind Biz has helped Metro Detroit homeowners choose and install window treatments since 2002, and Rochester Hills families have been a steady part of that. We never opened a showroom. Instead, we bring full-size samples and sample books to your home, so you can see each fabric, finish and slat against your walls and floors, and in front of the windows and views you actually have.
